Sept 2018

Preschool
Nova's first day of Preschool at Bethesda Lutheran.

Maple
Aria's dear little hamster, Maple, passed away this week.  She came home from school and found her unresponsive in her cage.  She was only 1.5 years old, so her passing caught us by surprise.  Her passing was hard on Aria, so we invited her friend Emma over, which helped her cheer up.

Saturday Market
We went to the Saturday market and let the kids enjoy seeing all the different arts and crafts that were for sale.  In the end, they were most interested in the food. :)

Movie Night
At the kids school they enjoyed watching Ferdinand out under the stars!  Here's Nova before it got dark.

Half Marathon
After months of training, Tara competed in the Pacific Northwest Half Marathon.  She finished the 13.1 mile course in 1 hour and 49 minutes.  She was very pleased with her time, and we waited for her near the finish line and the kids raced with her for close to the last 100 years to cheer her on.

Fall Soccer
We signed Ryzen and Zade up to play soccer this Fall.  This is Ryzen's first time playing on a team.  When I got to the first parent meeting for his team, we were informed that although the team was complete, there was no coach, and that we'd stay until someone volunteered to coach his team.  Since none of the parents were volunteering, and I'd watched Zade practice the last couple years, I stepped up to coach Ryzen's team.  This is something I've never done before, so we'll see how it goes. :)  Here's Ryzen with his friend Adam.

And Zade playing defense.

Game time for Ryzen.

Zade warming up.

Photo Shoot
Aria loves doing photo shoots of herself, and the fam.

Fall Festival
Tara and I went to the Corvallis Fall Festival and found a pretty cool piece of art to hang by our door.
