Halloween
We spent Halloween with the Widmers and Krebs.  After a nice meal the kids pillaged the Widmer's neighborhood.

The accountant in me was proud to see Ryzen, without any prompting from me, took an inventory of all his candy.

Zade has been practicing Carol of the Bells on the piano and has gotten really good!
Rock Climbing

Zade and Ryzen went with Will and Ethan Krebs to Crux gym and had a great time rock climbing.

Tara has wanted to put a chandelier above the table in our family room.  I finally caved in.

Tara took the kids over to Darlene Thede's house. She ministers to her and they all had a fun sing along.

Now that it's getting grayer, Tara decided to get some light glasses.  They give her rainbow eyes.  She loves them.

Family Pics

Turkey Trot
Tara, Zade and I had fun doing a 5K race before Thanksgiving.  I ran with Zade to help pace him and he got a new personal record.  Tara ran well and placed in the top 3 of her age division.

Thanksgiving
My parents, Kari's family, and Derek's family came over for Thanksgiving.  After a nice meal we talked and played games.

5th Street Market
We went and saw the lights and strolled around the 5th Street Market.
The kids enjoyed going to the Elephant's Trunk.

They were spraying artificial snow to make it more festive.

Christmas Tree
We picked up a Christmas Tree at Carrol's Country Christmas Tree Farm.

Tara picked up a toy train to go around the tree, which Everest absolutely loves.

Speaking of Everest, that little guy gets into everything. He decided to empty the trash can into the toilet.  We love him, and he's so sweet, but he can be a handful at times.

September & October 2022

Back to School

Zade started 7th grade at Kennedy Middle School, and Ryzen and Nova started 4th and 2nd grade, respectively, at Twin Oaks Elementary.

Aria was supposed to start up at Sheldon so that she could be on the dance team, but there were some scheduling issues and she wasn't able to actually attend until a couple of days into the year.  After a week she decided she wanted to be back with her friends, who were going to Churchill High.

Hiking Spencer's Butte

UO Football Game

I took Zade to his first Oregon football game.  The School of Accounting had our annual tailgate, where we had lunch, and then we got to see UO take down BYU.

Cheer Team
During the summer Aria tried out for the cheer team and made varsity, along with her friends. Later decided she didn't want to do it, but she went to one of the football games to support them.

Soccer
Zade and Ryzen are doing soccer once again.  They both still dig it.

Family Soccer & S'mores

We invited the Krebs and Johnston's over for a big soccer game, and had s'mores afterwards.

New York City

I was invited to do a research workshop at Fordham University in New York City. While I was walking down  from my hotel to the University I stumbled across the temple.  Very cool.

Playing at the Park

Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze
We went to Johnson Farm and had a nice time. Zade figured out the technique to slingshot baby pumpkins far away.  We were able to clear the netting they put up to stop the baby pumpkins. :)

Alec Benjamin Concert
Tara took Aria and her friends to a concert at the McDonald Theater. Joanne Widmer came too, and they all seemed to have a good time.

Photo Tree
Right before the war broke out in Ukraine we ordered this beautiful photo tree.  I was finally able to get it put up.  Hopefully the war ends soon.  I feel bad for those poor folks.

Nova's loose tooth
Time to Eat
This little guy loves Mac & Cheese.

Temple Trip
Zade went with the ward up to Portland Temple and did baptisms.  He did the work for several of our ancestors.  Afterwards he and his friends feasted on pizza.  I'm glad he had a good experience.

Homecoming
Aria went to Homecoming with her friends Maile & Bella and had a great time.

Trunk or Treat

Zade and his friend Will Krebs.

Tara had our family dress up as characters from Alice in Wonderland. Everest wasn't feeling it though. :)
