Healthy again

Little Aria tamed that nasty flug bug, and seems to be back to her old self again. Now she can freely be hung upside down. She also had her 18 month check-up, and she's 34 inches, 25 pounds (she lost a little weight from the flu.) The doctors said that's 90th percentile for height, and 75th for weight.

Brandi Carlile

After a busy week, we celebrated Dane turning in his scholarship application and taking a midterm by going to see Brandi Carlile. The show was fantastic. There was a ton of variety, and she and the twins played for almost 2 hours. For anyone who's not familiar with her music, we highly recommend you check it out:

Some of our favorite tracks are: The Story, Fall Apart Again, What Can I Say, Dying Day, Oh Dear. The band sounds as good live as in the studio. It was a treat.

Eventful week

Both of Tara's sisters got engaged this week, so that was big news. Dane was nominated for a scholarship as well, which has kept him up until midnight most nights working on the application. On top of that we learned Net is having a little girl, so it's been quite a week. Unfortunately, little Aria had an even rougher week than the last one. She came down with the flu, and for 3 days had a sore throat and temperature of 102 degrees. Today, her poor little body spent the whole day with a temperature of 95.5 degrees. It's been a strange bug, but she seems to be pulling through alright. Sadly, despite all these events, we didn't take a single picture.

Little Trooper

Poor little Aria has been having a rough go of things recently. A week or so ago at church she was looking over the edge of a couch and then fell head first over the side. Today she was bum-scooting her way down the stairs, decided it was inefficient, and then went head first down 8 stairs. She also tripped today and smacked her forehead on a little coffee table, putting a new goose egg right on top of a previous one (obtained from a completely different accident.) And in each of these cases we were right next to her and weren't able to grab her in time to prevent the accident. It was horrible. Luckily in each case, she walked away with only a minor bump or scrape, but man, it's soooo heart breaking. I'm so grateful to the Lord that she's alright. (The picture shown above is after all these catastrophies, but as you can see, she's looking fine. It's amazing.)
