Ryzen got Covid-19
Nope, that's not a pregnancy test. It's a Covid-19 test. It appears the Omicron has graced our home. Ryzen coughed a lot for a week, but otherwise felt pretty good. Fortunately none of the rest of us got it.
Tara and Everest like to go for walks along the Fern Ridge path by our house.
UO Basketball
I took the older boys to a UO basketball game, as that's one of our family traditions. They played Cal, which has been pretty bad this year, but the Ducks didn't show up to play and got whooped. Oh well.
We had fun anyway. Lot's of popcorn. :)
Tara and I celebrated Valentines a few days early and enjoyed a nice meal by the Willamette River. Afterwards we went to the 5th Street Market, got some dessert, and then did a couple's painting class at "Art with Alejandro". Our paintings turned out pretty mediocre, but it was fun.
We also celebrated with the kids, with our usual pancake feast.
Dance Competition
Although Aria hasn't been doing much dancing recently, she decided to enter a competition and earned one of the top prizes. She was very excited.
Aria was the Queen of Hearts in her "Wonderland" dance.
Aria with Meridian for their duet, where they won an award.
Breakdowns
We've had several things start breaking down recently. Our dishwasher died, which took 2 weeks to replace. The hoses on the back of our washer failed, leaking water everywhere, and our dryer overheated and had to be repaired.
Here's the ducktape job Tara used to slow down the washer's leaking until I got home and could take care of it with the our neighbor Dan Johnston.
Everest also seems to be breaking down too. :) Recently, he's developed the bad habit of screaming and pointing to whatever he wants. He was always such a gentle sweet little soul, but all the screaming is beginning to change how endearing he is. :)
Skiing
Tara took Ryzen and Zade up to Hoodoo to ski. She signed Ryzen up for lessons, and he did really well, and even had a good time, despite how he started the trip with the phrase "let's get this nightmare over with."
Ryzen's State Project
For school Ryzen had to do a diorama of one of the US states. He picked the land of his nativity.
Nova and her buddy Ava Mahina.
Oliver Jr.
Ryzen performed as one of the pick pocket boys in the play Oliver Jr., put on by Upstart Crow. I think he had a good time.
Aria's Art
In her free time, Aria loves to draw. Here's a sketch she did of a K-pop artist. It turned out really nice.
