Baby Ducks
The ducks are getting bigger each day.  They love water so much that they try to swim in their water dish.

Tara decided to take them out to the creek behind out house, which they loved.

Salmonella
We've asked the kids to wash their hands each time they handle the baby chicks and ducks, but they struggle with that.  Unfortunately, it appears to have had real consequences.  Everest came down with salmonella and had to be hospitalized for 2 nights.  He had fevers above 105 degree Fahrenheit and was pretty dehydrated and miserable for a while.  We gave him a priesthood blessing, combined with good medical care, and he eventually recovered.

Science Experiments

The kids had to do Science experiments of their choice for the Nature Discovery School.

Ryzen placed an egg in vinegar.

Nova put white flowers in colored water.

Zade grew crystals using Alum (although the bag displayed in the photo had the wrong kind of alum).

Tara dropped off Nova at dance and took Everest for a walk on the UO campus.  By the way, he also said his first word this month: "Momma". Now all the kids (except Aria) have Momma as their first word. Aria's first word was "kitty".

Blueberries

Everest is starting to eat solid foods like a champ now, and especially loves blue berries.

Accident
Nova fell off the slide in our back yard and injured her arm.  Fortunately, it doesn't seem to be broken.

Turn it Up
Aria was really excited because she took 1st place in the intermediate division of the Turn it Up dance competition that was held in Tacoma Washington.

Her dance team also had a top 3 finish in the competition.

Memorial Day

We celebrated Memorial Day in Busch Park in Salem, Oregon with my family.

Hendricks Park

Aria talked Tara into taking some photos of her at Hendricks Park.
