Oaks Park in Portland

We took the kids to an amusement park in Portland during Spring Break.  It was a little cold outside, but they still had a good time. 

We also picked up a used couch that Tara had wanted.

Great Wolf Lodge

We also spent 2 days at Great Wolf Lodge to try to make Spring Break more memorable. 

Nova managed to hit the jackpot on one of the arcade games. 

Photo Shoot

Aria got to participate in a photo shoot for dance gear which she thought was a lot of fun.

Celebrity Dance Competition

Aria competed in the Celebrity Dance Competition up in Portland and did so well that she received a scholarship to attend their national convention.  She was very excited about that.

Easter Egg Hunt

Ryzen, Nova, and Everest participated in the community's local Easter Egg hunt by Cal Young Elementary.

Aria collected a bunch of free food on her b-day, such as Crumbl Cookies and Baskin Robins. 

Debenhams

Tara's parents came to visit and had a lot of fun playing with the kids.  Jerry also helped us repair several items at our house. It was great having them come visit.

Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB)

Ryzen participated in OBOB and read a lot of great books.  He's starting to enjoy reading a lot more, and currently is reading the Wings of Fire series.

Sculpting

For young mens, Jason Peaslee taught them how to sculpt. Zade made Homer Simpson, and his friend Isaac Johnston made Marge Simpson.

Willamette Pass

Tara took the older boys skiing at Willamette Pass.  The weather was perfect and they had a great time.

Zade the 13 year old

We have another teenager in the house. To celebrate Zade's big day, he and his friends Will, Isaac, and Brennan went rock climbing at Crux Gym.  Zade and Ryzen had recently finished a rock climbing class, so they know how to belay. 

Afterwards they had an Oreo ice cream cake. 

Everest also had fun playing with Will. 

Spotlight

Aria competed in the Spotlight dance competition in Seaside and had a lot of fun. 

20th Anniversary

Tara and I decided to celebrate our 20th anniversary doing something memorable: spending time at a treehouse hotel.  We stayed in the Majestree at Out 'n About Treehouse down near Cave Junction.  The closest thing I can compare it to is the Ewok village from Star Wars.  It's was pretty cool.  (The pictures don't do it justice.) We went horse back riding,  ziplining, horse back riding, and played guitar.
